Meet and Greet FAQ

Things Auntie will want to know… Pet’s Needs & Behavior

  • Routine: Feeding times/amounts, walk schedule/duration, potty habits, sleep arrangements (crate/bed). 
  • Health: Medications, allergies, vet’s info, any health issues or disabilities.
  • Temperament: Socialization with people/pets, fears (thunder, vacuum), leash reactivity, resource guarding (food/toys). 
  • Commands: What words they know (sit, stay, come) and how they respond. 
  • Alone Time: How long can they be left alone, and is it okay for them to be alone?
  • Emergency Plan: Vet info, backup contacts, what to do if injured or sick. 

Questions Auntie will answer for you…

  • Much like a farm where closed gates remain closed and open gates remain open, we will never enter a room if the door is closed without permission. 
  • Any other question you might have
  • Depending on the style of sit, Auntie will be with your pet the majority of the time. Especially if we are there for Constant Care.

Aunties Qualifications

  • We are skilled in providing medications ( by pill pocket, mouth and injection)
  • If there were a situation in which we were unable to fulfill the sit, we would reach out ASAP and find another sitter within the circle of trusted Aunties to fulfill our obligation. 
  • Aunties Coming to Visit is insured and bonded

  • What are your pet’s favorite toys and activities?
  • What treats are okay (and not okay)?
  • Any habits or specific cues only you know?
  • Are your pets crate-trained, when and why?
  • House Rules: Furniture rules, specific rooms off-limits, yard/pool care
  • Home Details: Trash day, plant watering, car info, neighbor introductions, mail retrieval
